A couple years ago, I created a website called Digital Dedications. It has since been “retired”, but the focus was to create a living memorial, online to those who had departed this world. I felt bad taking down the site, but I totally suck at marketing.

This evening, I was excited when I learned about Registry of Life.

Registry of Life is a simple way to honor your loved ones, online. They offer some pretty slick site-building tools and they focus on memorializing and celebrating the lives of your loved ones who have passed.

Each memorial is completely customizable, allowing you to create a chronological timeline of events, upload photos, and interact with family and friends who wish to share their memories of your loved one. Each memorial includes several pages including a guestbook and a photo album.

Registry of Life is run by Dr. Wayne Dees, an experienced grief counselor, who understands the importance of the grieving process and the need for family members to have a place to go not only to share that grief but to celebrate the life of their lvoed one.

Dr. Dees also has an “Ask Dr. Dees” page, which helps visitors understand the grieving process.

Registry of Life offers a free 14 day trial, which allows you to set up your memorial and decide if the service is what you want. If like what you see, they simply bill your credit card $49.95 (a one-time fee) and they will host your Registry Of Life memorial forever.

I love the concept, I think it fills a void that people need filled, and Dr. Dees providing an awesome product, and service, that people will cherish for a lifetime.
