Sigmund And The Sea Monsters
Who could forget this show?
Poor Sigmund didn’t want to be a scary sea monster and ran away. How sad is that? Lucky for him he met up ith Johnny and Scott, who decided to hide him in their clubhouse.
Johnny Whitaker played Johnny, Scott Kolden played Scott, and Mary Wickes played the housekeeper Zelda.
If you missed this one, you really don’t know what life is. Check out 70’s Live Action Kid Vid for more classics from the 1970’s.
Flashback 1960’s: Totie Fields
Flashback: Electra Woman & Dyna Girl
I found an excellent site, 70’s Live Action Kid Vid.
If you have forgetten how cheesy the 1970’s really were (or if you weren’t born then), you may want to take a look at that site.
I completely forgot about Electra Woman & Dyna Girl.
I love Deidre Hall.
If you have a nostalgia site out there, let me know, so I can add you to my links list. I plan on featuring many different things here on RetroMental, and would love to highlight your site.
The Simple Things Take You Back In Time
I spent my first year of college in Hawaii, lving with my grandparents. Man, those were special times. As a 42 year-old father of three, I wish I knew then what I know now. I never took the opportunity to tell my grandparents how much I appreciated them, or how much I loved them.
While I was sitting here tonight working on a ‘garden’ site design, I happened across “The Vine Store”, and I got to thinking about my grandparents and all of their quirks. My grandmother drove well under the speed limit, they required that, at 17, I be in the house by dark, and they always, and I mean always, had a glass of wine with every dinner.
The Vine Store has everything from wine glasses and tasting tables to wine bags and wine racks. I had no idea there were so many different styles of corkscrews.
Looking at a Wine Rack on the main page took me back to their home in Hawaii, where my grandfather, while opening a bottle of wine, dropped several pieces of the cork into the bottle. He spent the longest time straining the wine so my grandmother could drink it.
If you’re looking for the perfect gift for that wine lover in your family, check out The Vine Store.
