1971: Rose Garden

On this day in 1971, Lynn Anderson received a gold record for “Rose Garden”. As a fan of older music and performers, I am having trouble placing whether or not Anderson was on a commercial for NC health insurance back in the day… If it wasn’t her it was someone who looked an awful lot like her.

Of course, it’s all a mute point now, since most people don’t even remember who Lynn Anderson is anyway.
