On this day, in 1970, David Gates and Bread released their only number one hit.

I knew a girl once that loved Bread. She loved evrything else too, well, until she got hold of some weight loss pills, then she was good again. Seriously, she was a big girl, and a huge fan, then she lost weight, and was still a huge fan. Everytime I hear a Bread song, I think of her.
