Grace Kelly Is The Princess of Monaco

On this day in 1956, the actress Grace Kelly woke up for the first time as the Princess of Monaco. She married Prince Rainier in a spectacular wedding the day before.

I once gave a lot of thought about traveling to Monaco. It was long after Princess Grace had died, but there are a few countries I have always wanted to see. Monaco, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein, Ireland, and New Zealand. The summer I was looking at traveling, I couldn’t find any cheap hotels that worked within my budget. Of course, that was 20 plus years ago.
