The Great San Francisco Earthquake

April 18th, 2008

On this day in 1906, the earth shook in San Francisco.

I bet the owners of furniture stores and other household good stores were kept very busy for at least a year after the quake. Everything was basically destroyed so people had to start over with nothing. Once they got the buildings rebuilt, they had to furnish them all over again.
