Winter Cleaning?
One thing I need to do before the new year starts, is clean up this computer. I have only had it a few months, and it seems to be running slower than when I bought it. I don’t install a bunch of crap on it, and I don’t use Internet Explorer, so a popup blocker isn’t the answer for me.
Who knows, maybe it’s my imagination, since I saw a few new computers at the stores this holiday season, maybe I just think mine is running slow.

Taking Care Of Myself In 2008
I don’t normally make New Year’s resolutions, and I am not going to start now. I will, however, be resuming my diet on the 1st. I gained a lot of weight over the holidays, and I need to make sure I start eating healthy again.
I am also going to start working out (aka, walking and such) more and I might even start taking some nutritional supplements if I don’t get my recommended daily requirements in the food I am eating.
What a year this is going to be.
Putting An End To It
Before my mom came to stay with us, I used our dining room, well our “formal” dining room anyway, as my office. I moved out of that room and into a corner of the living room until I decide where I want to relocate to. haha… Anyway, along with my office I lost my bookshelves and my bookends, so now I am stuck with a load of books on my desk, using my monitor and the cpu as bookends. Not good I tell you.

Ripping It To Shreds
I sw the funniest thing today. We were heading down to Newnan, Georgia, and we saw a really cool sportscar zipping down the road. As we approached it, we noticed something wrong with it, and I almost had to pull over I was laughing so hard.
Note to people in sportscars driving in Georgia: You must remove the car covers before you attempt to drive the car, else you risk ripping it to shreds and looking like a moron driving down the road.
This is why I wish my camera was back from the repair shop. That would have been a hilarious video.

Can I Give You A Lift?
When people buy houses, I don’t think they plan ahead like they should. No, I am not talking about adjustable rate mortgages or anything like that, I am talking about the whole process of aging.
See, people just don’t take into account that they might not be able to climb those steps as they get older. We have a full basement on our house and I already plan to look at stair lifts in about 15 years. Yes, I will be prepared.

When New Is Used, After The Fact
It’s nice to have the Christmas holiday off from work. One of the routers at the office went down last week, and we found out, only after it died, that it was a used cisco router and not a new one, like we thought we had purchased (several years ago).
We got the new router up and running right before the holiday, so getting back to work won’t be such a chore this time.

Kicking Myself
I don’t talk about it much here, but I used to own a 1965 Mustang. I really loved that car, I was just too young to understand how cool it was, and how much I would value not having it now. I also owned a 1969 VW bus for a couple years, but finding the right auto accessories was a pain in the butt, so I sold it. I could kick myself for getting rid of both of those.

Be An Angel This Holiday Season
I have never been in the position where I had a second vehicle that I didn’t need, but if I did I would give serious thought to making a car donation with Car Angel this holiday season.
Car Angel makes it easy to donate your old car or truck, and their programs help children all over the world. The funds earned from your car donation provide funding for preschool and grade school aged children in some of the poorest areas of the world.
Car Angel arranges free nationwide pickup, and you get a nice little tax deduction. All you have to do is call.
The Quiet Kills Me
One thing I love doing, while I work on the laptop, is watching my television shows while I work. Whether I plant myself in front of the television to do my work, or if I’m streaming the video off my desktop machine through the Cat5E cable, I just can’t work without watching or listening to something else.
If I had to work in a quiet office all day, I would probably go totally insane.
I Am Addicted
No, I don’t need addiction treatment or anything like that, but I am completely and totally addicted to finding videos from old television shows online.
Whether it’s Youtube or some other source, I can’t help but sit and watch all of the old shows as I find them. I am wondering if there are sources out there that I might not know about. Yes, I do have a problem.
