Winding Up Again
There is nothing more invigorating than setting out on a three day cross country drive. Pardon me now, while I get back in gear and up to speed.

This photo was taken along Interstate-40 in Oklahoma. There tons of these windmills in Texas too.

Back At The Keyboard
We’re back from our cross country trip, and I will settle back into a routine here soon enough. I ended up taking the oldest son with me on the trip, and we had a blast. My mom will be settling in over the next couple weeks, and my vacation is almost over.
We did, however, take the kid to the buffet at the Santa Fe, I was hoping we could get to the Fiesta or the Rio Las Vegas, but that just didn’t happen this time. Talk about a kid in a candy store. He loved the whole trip.

An Afternoon At The Lake
With all the talk about water shortages and low lake levels, we noticed that one of the state parks close had more water than we thought it would.

I tried to get another picture as it got darker but their outdoor lighting needed some improvement. The natural lighting is great all by itself.

Tracks
“We will be known forever, by the tracks we leave behind.”

I must have taken 200 photos today while we were at the park. Just think if I was using a traditional film camera? Thank God for digital cameras, because the cost of developing film to find a few good shots would be killing me right about now.

Find The Grasshopper
This little guy followed me out into the backyard and wouldn’t leave me alone, so I captured him on film, in case something bad happens you all know who to look for.

I guess it’s better running into him than the eight legged friends in my tool storage room. That place is downright scary. I wonder if they have suspicious insect and arachnid insurance?
Visiting Our Spider Friend Again
This little creature is still living in the backyard so I took the opportunity to snap a few more pics.

He got really mad this time, because I accidently bumped the web and it partially collapsed. I better watch my step the next time I check if he’s there. If this thing gets any bigger I am going to need some equestrian riding apparel so I can tame the sucker.
